This is really frustrating me. šŸ˜–

facebook fundraising May 16, 2023

There are so many things that non profits miss out on. Opportunities that businesses or corporates take for granted.

I spent all of last week at a not-for-profit conference in Melbourne and I got to see first hand how eager everyone is to learn, grow and innovate.

But I also find, much to my extreme  frustration, there are also opportunities tailor made for nonprofits that some of you are missing out on...

... missing out because of misinformation, thinking it will be  too hard or just lack of experience.

I want to set the record straight.

Right now - the big missed opportunity is Facebook Fundraisers. If you're in one of the countries that does have this tool available (New Zealand does not, for example), it is about as close an opportunity to passive income as you can get.

More than $2 billion has been raised using these tools in just the past few years and they are incredibly easy to set up and use. Plus there are no fees.

Yet I am always astounded by how many organisations don't think they should use this as part of their strategy.

So here are just a few of my reasons why, if you're not doing Facebook Fundraisers yet - and you can - you should be.

1) It's free

2) It works. One client that set themselves up on Facebook fundraisers with minimal effort now brings in an extra $10,000 per month

3) Just because you think Facebook isn't as cool as it once was, it doesn't mean it doesn't still work. It is still the largest single platform globally and it gets the job done.

4) It is incredibly easy to use and is surprisingly easy to set up.

5) Facebook's algorithm will prioritise this content. But we also know it deprioritises links to third party sites. i.e. your fundraising platform.

Honestly, this is one of those things that I wish I could convince every registered charity to use, because it is such a no brainer.

If you don't need a class to do it, that is great. But please do give Facebook Fundraisers a chance. They are worth the effort.

If you're not sure how to do it and it's just a lack of knowledge or misinformation stopping you - I am running my Facebook Fundraising class live this Wednesday for only $50 (or add it to your learning hub and watch it anytime on demand).

You can't get a better return on investment that that. One fundraising post and you could have already covered your cost.

I'll walk you through how it works, how to set it up, clear up the misconceptions, answer your questions and show you how to run one that works.

Whether you come to me for help or not, I hope this email will make you consider. Is this an opportunity you're missing out on?

Happy fundraising,
Alecia
